The weather has been up and down this month...Welcome to Missouri! We've experienced single digit temps with subzero wind chills and today it's 60 degrees out and sunny. The cold snap snuck up on us and KP had to deal with frozen cattle waterers and keeping our animals as comfortable as they could be. I think our sheep were the warmest critters on the place! We will be lambing April/May if the boys have done their job. The majority of the Shetlands have been bred to Smores and two others have been with Buckeye. I also will be breeding Rosie our Border Leicester ewe with our BL ram. There is a Shetland ewe in with him as well, that I could not breed to Smores or Buckeye. (She is a daughter of one and a sister of the other.) Here are a couple of pictures of our yearling ewes: Barakel Farm Cookie's n Cream #47007 (She is being bred to our BL ram) Barakel Farm Constellation #47008 Little Dixie Moonshine #47006 Little Dixie Tippy #47004 Little Dixie Ebony #47005 Here are our Shetland boys: Barakel Farm Smores #44333 Belle Manor Buckeye #42191
